The Curriculum

  • Connect with your instructor and fellow singers, learn the essentials of song interpretation, and present your prepared song. By the end of this session, you’ll already have gained specific feedback and tools to practice during the week.

  • Apply your initial feedback, work individually with Mimi, and collaborate with your peers. You’ll have a clear idea of the trajectory of your piece and will be ready to begin polishing the details.

  • Begin with a “dress rehearsal” run of your song and receive targeted feedback from Mimi and your classmates. You will have the opportunity to continue coaching your piece individually with Mimi and deepen your practical knowledge of relevant acting technique.

  • It’s showtime! Present your song to the class in your chosen mock setting (audition or performance). After this class you’ll be ready to perform this song wherever you go - from voice recitals to auditions! Celebrate your progress and plan which song you’ll conquer next.
