The Curriculum

  • Connect with your instructor and fellow singers, present your prepared song, and learn how to take your interpretation to the next level. By the end of this session, you’ll already have gained specific feedback and tools to practice during the week.

  • Apply your initial feedback, work individually with Mimi, and collaborate with your peers. You’ll gain a clear idea of the trajectory of your piece, finely tune the details of your interpretation, and present the song several times for teacher and peer evaluation.

  • Select and learn a second, contrasting song to develop. Explore strategies to highlight the differences between your two songs and demonstrate your greatest dramatic and vocal versatility. Collaborate with your peers to discover new acting techniques along the way.

  • It’s showtime! Present your songs to the class in your chosen mock setting (audition or performance). After this class you’ll be ready to perform this song wherever you go - from voice recitals to auditions to competitions! Celebrate your progress and plan which song you’ll conquer next.
