The Curriculum

Meet your classmates, share your songwriting ideas, and begin creating new material under Robert’s individualized guidance. Receive feedback on your initial ideas and begin work on your first songwriting assignment.

Share your songwriting ideas with the class, apply custom feedback, and refine your material. Begin to explore music production software that will allow you to present, polish, and edit your composition.

Refine your original song and learn the essentials of producing, mixing, and editing as you record and refine your vocals. Robert will provide expert guidance along the way to help you create with confidence and success.

Your next big hit is here! Present your finished song and receive feedback from Robert and your peers. Reflect on all that you’ve learned and dream up what you’ll write next!

There will be no class on October 7.

Robert Gillies is a Scottish songwriter/artist and multi-instrumentalist now living in Bergen, Norway. Highlighted cuts include platinum-certified track ‘Home’ performed by Bebe Rexha, X Ambassadors, and Machine Gun Kelly, and Illenium’s track ‘Beautiful Creatures’. He has worked with a broad range of artists such as Charlie Puth, Andy Grammar, Stanaj, Olivia Holt, among others.
