Monologue & Audition Acting for Pre-Teens
w/ Abby C. Smith
The Curriculum
-
Meet your instructor and new classmates, learn fun warm-ups, and receive your assigned monologue (or bring one you’ve prepared!). Together we’ll talk through how to understand your character and get ready for performance.
-
Practice cold readings with audition sides. Build confidence by performing in front of the group, learn how to make choices quickly, and discover tips for clear and expressive delivery. Continue exploring your monologue at home as you prepare to bring it to life.
-
Bring your monologue to the stage! Each actor will perform their piece, receive individual coaching, and collaborate with peers to explore new acting choices. By the end, you’ll have a polished audition piece and the confidence to perform it in school plays, auditions, or talent showcases. Celebrate your progress and set goals for your next role!
