Explore Your Voice with Emily Gregonis

“The most fun musical experience I had in a long time!”
Explore how your voice works, develop your singing technique, and learn songs that fit your voice and are meaningful to you. This class is open to all adults with a voice (that includes you!). It is a safe sanctuary for new & returning singers to begin their craft and for experienced singers to reconnect with their foundations.

The Curriculum

  • Explore your voice through functional exercises and deepen your artistry through guided discussion. Equip these newfound tools to select two songs that are uniquely meaningful to you.

  • Discover new techniques for learning vocal repertoire and apply these techniques to your first song with individual and group guidance from Emily. Polish your piece in preparation to share with the group (only if you wish!).

  • Share your first song, receive feedback and encouragement from your fellow singers, and offer your own perspective to the class. Begin to apply what you’ve learned to your second song.

  • While you polish your second selection, learn to make informed and intentional choices that bring your song and your artistry to life. Collaborate with the group to build your confidence and develop your own sense of artistry.

  • Share your voice and your songs with the class and support your fellow singers. Consider what you’ll add next to your songbook, and make a plan for your continued singing development.
