The Curriculum

  • Meet your fellow classmates, share the information that will allow Mimi to offer custom monologue recommendations, and learn techniques and tips for preparing your new material.

  • Choose your favorite monologue and begin a comprehensive process for preparing your piece. Learn new methods for analyzing and memorizing text, and discuss criteria for picking monologues to add to your book.

  • Present a “rough draft” of your monologue. By this point, you will have memorized your monologue and you will be ready to make detailed choices. Receive coaching from Mimi, discuss feedback with your peers, and offer suggestions on your classmates’ work.

  • Perform your piece! After presenting your monologue to the class, you will be ready to take your perfected monologue wherever you go - from live auditions to self tapes. Receive feedback from a guest industry professional, and plan what you’ll add next to your audition book!
