Alumni Spotlight: Alejandro Stars at Theatre Aspen

This summer WD Studio alum, Alejandro Medina, made his Theatre Aspen debut as Doody in Grease and Mark in A Chorus Line.

The Aspen Times praised Alejandro’s spectacular performance in Grease, particularly his strong vocals: “Alejandro Medina delivers standout vocals as Doody, making ‘Those Magic Changes’ one of the evening’s musical highlights”. Grease ran July 31 through August 29 at the Hurst Theatre in the beautiful Rio Grande Park.

Alex also received praise for his role in A Chorus Line with Aspen Times declaring: “It is difficult to only call out a few of the performances with such a stacked cast. A few of the many worth mentioning begins with Alejandro Medina bringing a frenetic sincerity to Mark.”

Alejandro performed alongside Broadway professionals in an incredible cast of singers and dancers in both Grease and A Chorus Line and his performance stood out in every show. We’re so proud of Alexjandro’s hard work and are thrilled that he made such a brilliant debut at one of the most prestigious theaters in the country.

This Fall, Alex returns to the University of Michigan for his second year in the Musical Theatre degree program. We wish him luck on his second year of college and are excited to see what comes next!
