Explore Your Voice: Adult Singing Class Series

Calling all adults who have a deep desire to sing:
your voice is worth exploring and we want to hear it!

Discover your vocal potential in a compassionate, caring, and supportive class series led by vocal expert, Brittany Martin. Together, you will develop tools for exploring vocal technique, preparing repertoire, and furthering your individual singing practice.

In this personalized eight week series, you will pick and prepare two solo songs of your choice. With consistent guidance and care, Brittany will lead you every step of the way, from warming up and strengthening your voice to choosing and polishing your piece.

Throughout the weeks you will: learn to choose repertoire that not only fits your voice but is also meaningful to you; develop strategies for learning the notes, words, and rhythms without relying on your favorite recording; discover authentic and confident ways to express yourself through song.

This class is open to all adults with a voice (that includes you!).
It is a safe sanctuary for new & returning singers to begin their craft and for experienced singers to reconnect with their foundations.

The Details

Meet Brittany

Brittany Martin is praised for her expressive performances whenever she takes the stage. An enthusiastic performer, Brittany brings this same energy and intention to the voice studio.

She is inspired by how singing empowers everyone to connect more deeply to themselves and others, and she has fostered musical growth in singers in elementary to high school classrooms, collegiate choral ensembles, church choirs, and private lessons.

The Experience

Explore Your Voice is an excellent introductory class for new and returning singers alike. The class provided new techniques and exercises for breathing, loosening your vocal cords, and having fun with music. Brittany is an excellent teacher, an incredible singer, and she made the class really fun and accessible. I sang in choral ensembles in high school and college, and I was interested in returning to singing, but I didn't know how. I was nervous to sing in front of others, but that was not required for this class. We could mute ourselves while we sang, and we could even turn off the video camera if we wanted. This made the experience very relaxing and comfortable. One hour was not enough for this workshop - I wanted more! I felt both extremely energized and deeply relaxed after the class. It was the most fun musical experience that I have had in a long time. I am hoping that WD Studio offers more workshops like this for people like me who want to return to singing in a relaxed, fun, and low-stakes way.”
