Core Program Singer onstage at The MUNY

Congratulations to Core Program singer Amalie on her work at the prestigious MUNY Summer Intensive!

This summer, Amalie was selected as one of only 12 high school students from across the country to participate in this immersive theatre training program. During the intensive, Amalie performed in the regional premiere of Dear Evan Hansen alongside Broadway and television stars on the iconic MUNY stage, an impressive outdoor amphitheater that seats over 11,000 people.

The MUNY Summer Intensive is divided into two parts. The first is an exhilarating 11-day rehearsal process culminating in nightly performances of a full-scale musical for audiences of up to 11,000. During this time, when Amalie wasn’t rehearsing for Dear Evan Hansen, she participated in masterclasses and workshops led by top industry professionals.

The second half of the program took place at Webster University, where Amalie studied song interpretation, acting, musical theatre dance, improvisation, and audition techniques.
