Wesley Diener chosen for prestigious NATS Intern Program

WD Studio Founder Wesley Diener will attend the prestigious NATS Intern Program this May in Greenville, South Carolina.

The NATS Internship program is a highly regarded professional development opportunity for mid-career voice teachers. During the 10-day program, participants are paired with master teachers for intensive training that includes teaching private lessons, participating in masterclasses, and attending lectures focused on vocal pedagogy. Wesley will explore a variety of musical styles while receiving personalized guidance and mentorship from experienced NATS master teachers.

Wesley has the distinct honor of working closely with Amanda Flynn, Head of Musical Theater at Pace University. Under her mentorship, he will gain exposure to innovative, top-level techniques in musical theatre voice training from one of the leading collegiate experts in the field. Her extensive experience and leadership in musical theatre pedagogy will provide invaluable, specialized insight that will directly enhance Wesley’s work with singers in contemporary and commercial styles.

This program is highly selective, with only 12 teachers chosen from across the country to participate. This recognition underscores Wesley’s accomplishments and promise as a voice teacher and pedagogue.

The master teachers this year include leading experts in vocal study and education who have performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. With decades of experience teaching at the university level, they bring a wealth of knowledge and invaluable insight to share with the next generation of voice teachers and pedagogues.

This opportunity will allow Wesley to grow not only as a vocal instructor but also as a collaborator and mentor. He will return with new insights, refined skills, and meaningful professional connections that will enrich both his teaching and the continued growth of our studio.

We are so proud of Wesley for being chosen for this incredible opportunity!
